Many people want to judge candidates in the 2008 Presidential Election on things like abortion. It really does not matter how any candidate feels about abortion, it is a non-issue at this point. The citizens of the United States realize we are being invaded and are coming to understand that our politicians simply do not care. The United States Chamber of Commerce represents all the major corporation of our country and they could care less what the average American citizen wants. Now I am all for capitalism, but a capitalism without patriotism will be the end of our great Republic.

Civilizations have come and gone throughout history. What Rome took with the sword, Corporations now take with a pen, a huge bankroll, influence of corrupt politicians and the might of the United States Military Machine. The elite corporations of our world move jobs, people, equipment and merchandise across borders with their only loyalty to the corporation and corporate profit. United States manufacturers claim they can not turn a profit without cheap foreign labor. Yet Japanese manufacturers have moved their manufacturing facilities here, are paying good wages, and are doing even better than our American Corporations. The same corporations that have virtually all manufacturing conducted outside of the United States, in third world countries.

Many corporations that do not move out of the United States, try to circumvent paying a decent wage to Americans by hiring illegal aliens. I know of a property management company in Denver that has over 1,000 illegal aliens on its cleaning payroll. These corporations would like us to believe that the illegals are doing jobs Americans will not. That is simply not true. They are doing jobs at wages Americans can not afford. Americans don't live in small apartments with 3 or more families, with everyone sleeping in shifts. We will do their work, but only at a decent wage.

So, is America ready for Ron Paul? My opinion, America was ready for Ron Paul the day President Bill Clinton signed the NAFTA agreement with the full support of President Reagan and President Bush. The saying in my circle of friends is the Democrats and Republicans are both taking us to the same place, they just take different roads.

Ron Paul believes in the Constitution of the United States and does not vote on anything that would contradict what our Constitution says. With Ron Paul as President we would not be going into a war unless Congress declared war. Besides being the legal way to declare war, that eliminates the flakes in Congress from playing the blame game at election time. Ron Paul does not believe in treaties with foreign countries and would work to pull us out of all the foreign entanglements we are currently in. No more United Nations, no more NAFTA, CAFTA or NATO, etc. The truth is, we don't need these countries as much as they need us and being in these treaties is costing us a fortune.

Ron Paul believes in low taxes, a small government and generally, the government staying out of your business. Just think what kind of budget the United States would have if we did not have to finance an overseas military and the IRS, among others.

So will Americans vote for Ron Paul? Well, the extreme left will not. They are to stuck on feel good politics. For the extreme left, it feels great to take money out of a hardworking Americans pocket and give it to a pet charity. Besides Ron Paul believes in a right to life. So even if the country was in decimation and ruin, the extreme left would be afraid of loosing the right to an abortion. The hard working blue collar American whether on the left or right should be ready for Ron Paul's message. After all, what hard working blue collar worker likes to see their children die in a war for oil, wants to pay more in taxes so corporations can get tax breaks for sending their jobs overseas, or enjoys watching illegal aliens cross the border nightly on the news?

People come from various backgrounds in support for Ron Paul. Supporters of Ron Paul may not all agree with each other, but we can agree on his message. Bill Clinton was virtually unknown to most Americans when he started his race for the presidency. You've probably heard about Voice over Internet Protoco (abbreviated VoIP or VOIP). It is one of the hottest computer technologies today.

VoIP was developed to provide voice communication between computer users at different locations. Although still used in this manner, it's been developed much further -- into a full-fledged telephone network that allows us to place telephone calls through the Internet.

People who use VoIP can place calls to any telephone anywhere in the world. The calls are received on telephone sets connected to the Internet or Local Area Network (LAN). VoIP is already replacing some telephone networks with people and businesses canceling their traditional phone lines in favor of the cost savings of VoIP.

Background

Israeli computer enthusiasts were the first to make computer-to-computer voice connections back in 1995. That same year, the technology was further developed into a software package called Internet Phone Software. All you needed to speak with another computer user then was a modem, sound card, speakers, and microphone.

The software digitized and compressed audio signals before sending them over the Internet. These voice connections only occurred between computers equipped with the software. The original sound quality was very poor.

Technology progressed. By 1998 gateways had been established allowing PC-to-phone connections. Later that year phone-to-phone connections using the Internet for voice transmission were in place. Phone-to-phone connections still required a computer to initiate the call, but once the connection was established, callers could use a standard phone set.

That Was Then -- This Is Now

There are now a variety of VoIP services available, for both residential and commercial use. Some continue to rely on PC-to-PC connections, but may also offer PC-to-phone and phone-to-phone services.

There are phones that plug into a sound card or USB port of a computer. These phones may have number pads and ringers that allow you to use them just like conventional telephones. The computer can even be bypassed completely by connecting a phone directly to a broadband modem (either DSL or cable).

How Does VoIP Work?

The first step in using VoIP is converting your voice into digital data. This is done by 'sampling' your voice. The analog sound signal is divided into distinct steps that can be assigned number values. After your voice is digitized, the data can be compressed.

The compressed digital data is then split into 'packets' of about 1500 bytes that can be transferred via the Internet. In addition to voice data, the packets contain information about their origin, destination, and a time-stamp that permits a reconstruction in the exact order. When the packets arrive at their destination, the data are reassembled and converted back to analog. The receiving party then -- voila -- hears your voice.

A broadband Internet connection, however, is needed to speed up voice data transmission. Many households and businesses are already using broadband, either DSL or cable, which makes adding VoIP fairly simple.

People deal with and react to having cancer in different ways. There really isn't a right or wrong way to behave or feel regarding this disease and it is easily forgotten that partners, family and friends will need support as well.

Initial response, not only from the patient, is often disbelief..."There must be a mistake! The test results must be wrong!", followed by questions on cures, care and 'anything that you can do for me' issues. Shock sets in.

Naturally the patient will be afraid and unsure about his future. Though they may not show these reactions outwardly, they almost certainly will be thinking about them. Don't assume that just because they appear 'brave' on the outside that they are 'taking it well'.

Some patients will find it easier to talk with family and friends about their future than others do. Doing this may help the patient themselves come to terms with the diagnosis. Conversely, there are those that find it difficult to talk about it to anyone. It that is the case then let them be. The patient has the right to be firm on the issue, in the short term anyway.

On the other side of the coin, friends and relatives may appear to be denying the diagnosis, changing the subject and playing down the patient's worries and anxiety during conversations. Perhaps its a coping mechanism for some people. Nevertheless, the patient should confront them about these responses; they may be hurtful and it isn't going to help the patient if he/she wishes to discuss the matter.

Anger will almost certainly show itself in one way or another. Often anger is aimed at those closest to the patient and the medical staff treating them.
